Our beloved Melvin Lee Jackson Jr., age 49 was born and raised in Selma, AL he lived in Denver Colorado, He departed this life on December 26, 2022.  Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 12:00 pm Mt. Ararat Baptist Church with Pastor Dario Melton Officiating. Walker Mortuary Directing. Burial in Lorenzo Harrison Memorial Garden. 

On December 26, 2022, Melvin (Jr.) expired peacefully after a brief period of illness and gained his heavenly wings while living in Denver Colorado.  He loved his family, and our family loved him. Melvin (Jr.) confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Savior at an early age and united with Second Baptist Church in Selma, Alabama.  Throughout his life, he confessed and continued to demonstrate the love he had for the Lord.  He always proclaimed that whenever God was ready for him, he was ready and absent from the body, he would be present with the Lord.

Melvin (Jr.) was very talented and skillful with his hands.  During his early ages, he loved to fight competitively awarding him  the title of (Iron Man). He had a passion for making things beautiful and started his own Lawn Care Services. His outstanding skills and abilities allowed him to take three pieces of equipment and manicure a lawn with precise and perfection.  He loved fishing and was known throughout Charlotte, North Carolina for competitive fishing and other times on the lake for hours enjoying fishing, a trait he picked up from his father.

Melvin (Jr.) leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and beautiful Mother, Juanita M. (David) LeSure (Killeen, Texas); two loving Sons, his eldest Son, Damion Mitchell (Mansfield, Ohio); his middle Son, Jordan Ridgeway, (Arizona); and his lovely Daughter, Parris Jackson (Beavercreek, Ohio); Six beautiful Grandchildren; two Sisters, Hermine Tonyae’(Ronald) Smiley (Killeen, Texas); Kim C. Schooler (Dayton, Ohio); one Brother, Greg Suttles (Atlanta, GA); Three Aunts; Ada B. Hill (Selma, Alabama); Mary Crenshaw (Lockport, New York); Rosie L. Melton (Selma, Alabama); A Special Aunt, Lela Brown (Selma, Alabama); his former Wife and Friend, Michelle McCoy (Charlotte, North Carolina), and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Family, and Friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin L. Jackson; two brothers, Eddie Boykins; Orlando Robinson, and one Sister, Vicki Williams
