Glover J Towner, Jr. (Coach)

Glover James Towner Jr. was born on June 30th,1944 in Mobile, AL.
He graduated from Central H.S. in Mobile, AL.
After leaving mobile, he attended Alabama State University for his bachelor's degree in Education. He later attended Auburn University for his Master's Degree in Education.
Over the years, Coach Towner educated students at Keith High School, Southside High School, Mt. Meigs, and Dallas County High School.
Outside of spending time with his family and friends, he absolutely loved coaching and educating his students!
Coach Towner is survived by two sisters (Doris and Prentiss Pogue of Mobile, AL. and Joyce Rivers of Heuytown, AL), two nieces, two nephews, and a host of cousins.
Two daughters,(Glovetta Towner of Montgomery, AL and Donovan and Joyce Towner-Williams of Atlanta, GA) and three granddaughters (Jae'da Towner-Franklin, Imani Towner-Williams, and Sanai Williams of Atlanta, GA). And a host of family and amazing friends.
He departed this earth on May 16, 2021 at his home in Montgomery, AL surrounded by his loving family
